Why is my pending charge or authorisation more than my purchase?

Typically, banks will set aside recent charges to your credit or debit card as a hold or pending authorisation. However, some banks may set aside additional funds or holds as it processes the transactions.

Once the funds have been fully transferred from your bank, the pending charges or holds will be removed. This process can take up to 3 - 5 working days, but will vary by banks.
