How do I cancel my account?

  1. Log in to your Zipcar account on the website or mobile app
  2. Go to My Account and click on your membership plan
  3. Click Cancel Membership
  4. You'll then be prompted by a confirmation page. 
  5. Finally, Cancel Membership once more, and you should see a screen confirming the cancellation

Here are some things to keep in mind when cancelling your Zipcar membership:

  • Once your membership has been cancelled, you may continue to book cars until the end of your billing cycle
  • If you have an additional driver account, the memberships of all drivers on your account will be cancelled as well, but they can book cars until the end of your billing cycle
  • Any trips scheduled after your plan expires will be cancelled
  • If you have a remaining balance on your account, it will be charged or credited to your credit card on file when your account is cancelled
  • Additional trip costs, tolls, and violations will be charged once they are received
  • If you change your mind and would like to resume your membership, you can reactivate your membership
  • We are unable to provide a partial or full refund on any damage fee waiver or membership fees after the first 30 days. If you decide to cancel your membership within 30 days following approval, the membership fee can be refunded.

  • You can cancel your account via the App
  • You can always give us a call or submit a ticket to have your membership cancelled
