All Zipcar membership applications are processed through our internal eligibility checks using an automated system which checks every detail of the application. This is to better qualify our membership in order to provide the best service possible for all our members.
Unfortunately, there are the rare occasions where we are unable to accept an application for membership. This can be down to a vast number of different criteria or checks which unfortunately we need to abide by. This can often mean that we aren't able to provide a specific reason as to why an application is declined. You are welcome to apply again after 12 months.
In such cases, you wouldn't be charged for membership, if it was already charged it would be refunded.
