Occasionally, you might arrive to begin a trip and can't see the Zipcar in the designated 'Car Club' Bay. Don't worry, we'll get you on the road. The vehicle might be slightly out of location or is running a little behind. Here are a few helpful tips to get you to the vehicle and get you driving.
- Firstly, it's always worth briefly walking further down the street or into nearby junctions to see if the Zipcar has been left parked around the corner. If a third party takes up our bays, we ask members to park nearby in a safe spot. If in doubt, you can sound the car's horn using your Zipcar UK app, (look in the Drive section).
- Secondly, make sure to check the location instructions in your confirmation e-mail, very rarely bays can be suspended by the council, so we'll have updated the instructions temporarily for these circumstances. We also include pictures of the location so you can be sure you're in the right place.
- Also check to see if we've sent any updated information or e-mails to inform you of any issues which might be affecting your reservation. We try to alert you by phone or e-mail whenever we're made aware of an issue which might affect your trip.
If you're still having difficulty in finding the vehicle, please call us on 0333 240 9000. Our team can then trace the vehicle's location and we can either guide you to its location or transfer you to the nearest available vehicle. If you grab a Taxi as a result, we can refund that back to you (up to £20.00). Simply send us the receipt here. If it's the result of a late return, we'll try our very best to chase the member to get their ETA.
