Reopening my Zipcar Account

If you wish to reopen a previously closed account, you will need to open the old account rather than create a brand new one.

To do this, simply log into and head to ‘my stuff’ located at the top of the page. Select ‘create a personal account’ followed by ‘I want to re-open an existing account’. If you’re not reopening a recent Zipcar account, you may be prompted to submit documentation, all of which is explained fully on the application.

Once you’ve submitted your application, you will get a response within 48 hours, however it is usually much quicker than this. As this is not an instant process, we would advise you to reopen the account well in advance of your desired trip.
