No, a Zipcard is not needed as all of our UK Zipcars have Bluetooth® technology. This technology allows your mobile phone to lock, unlock, as well as start and end trips on all UK Zipcars from the iPhone® or Android™ app.
Sustainability is at the core of our mission, and we’re always looking for new ways to reduce our environmental impact. To minimise plastic use, we have stopped issuing physical Zipcards and now rely on the app as the primary tool for accessing our service. Please note that newer vehicles do not come with card readers.
